At the University of Phoenix Stadium, a personal computer is used to operate, monitor and troubleshoot the retractable roof. The computer screen displays the speed and position of the roof panels, along with the status of motors, brakes, operable rail clamps and other components. Cameras on the roof panels send real-time images to the computer screen for monitoring. The name and location of any faulted components are also displayed, and full diagnostics and help screens simplify troubleshooting. A secure internet connection allows Uni-Systems engineers to remotely monitor the system to provide real time support to on-site operators.
