The Uni-Systems’ families of Modular Mechanization Components (MMCs) are the result of years of visionary engineering on large moveable structures—now available resized, tested and proven for smaller-scale applications.
TT-101 TORQUE TUBE

The Torque Tube drive system consists of redundant ¾ hp electric motors and high reduction planetary gear reducers whose output shafts rotate the Torque Tube relative to the mounting brackets.
Dual drive motors and gear reducers provide redundancy within the system in the event of a failure. If the brakes were to fail when power is not being applied to the system, gravity would cause the kinetic element to very slowly rotate to a neutral position.
The Torque Tube will be the main structural member that transmits the full load of the kinetic element to the hangar brackets.
